NATO standards to be met at Krzesiny air force base

A PLN 8 million project is being implemented by Elektromontaż at Poznań Krzesiny air force base, including air fuel storage power service.

Together with the main contractors, we have been granted tender  contracts on adapting Polish air force bases to the NATO standards. First contracts were signed in January 2004, while the most recent one was entered into in November last year. TACAN system was completed in September 2005, the airport installations in November, and the fuel storage services will be complete by December 2007.
The assignment of complete power supply and distribution included i.a. provision of transformer stations, overhead medium voltage lines, computer network wiring, and security cabling.

The work is carried out at an operating airport, which requires that excellent coordination be assured with the military personnel. The base is a huge construction site today, with technical upgrade of most of the facilities underway. Most advanced state-of-the-art solutions have been installed at the 2.5 km long runway, making it Central Europe’s best. The airport will fully meet the NATO standards once the work is completed. Some sections of the assignment are related to the F-16 fighter project.

Elektromontaż Poznań have a broad expertise in building and technical upgrade of civil and military airports. We have been involved in 20 air force projects countrywide so far.
We did the job well and in time, which has been appreciated accordingly by the military, enabling us to bid in more tenders.
